Spring is such a beautiful time of year. Everything and everyone start to come out of hibernation and we are surrounded with beautiful pinks, purples, blues and greens.

So in celebration of spring I thought I would do a little spring tutorial to bring back a little colour into my life. I wanted to inject pops of colour and shimmer into my look so I chose a shimmery white and purple eye shadow, pink blush and a bright pink lip colour to complete the look!

I will show you how you can achieve a similar look!

  • First, of course, I start by washing my face so I can begin with a clean and fresh palate.

  • Next I prep my skin with eye cream, serum and moisturizer to provide smooth base before I start the makeup application (currently I skip the primer but you can use one if you choose to.

  • Then I use a hydrating foundation and concealer. Currently my go to is Lauren Brooke Foundation in neutral 20 and concealer in light. I apply the foundation all over my face and the concealer under my eyes and anywhere else I have some redness.

  • I use a big powder brush to dust Lauren Brooke translucent powder all over my face and over my eyelids to set my foundation and give a little base on my eyelids (I believe this helps the colour adhere better).

  • I then use a big eye shadow brush to apply a white shimmery eye shadow all over my eyelid and a smaller brush to apply a bright shimmer purple to the crease of my eyelid and along my lash line.

Diamonds (a white shimmer shade) on the left and Night Violette (a bright purple) on the right. These are Lauren Brooke products in sample sizes. As you can see you get a good amount of product with the samples.

  • Next I apply liquid eyeliner in black to my upper lash line and a pencil eyeliner in black to my lower lash line. These too are Lauren Brooke products. You can read my review here!

  • I apply 3 coats of my Physician's Formula Organic Wear 100% Origin Work It! Full! Flared! Fit! Mascara in black. You can read my review here!

  • I apply a bright pink blush to the apples of my cheek and cheekbones and extend the blush up to my temples.

  • I add a bit of highlighter to the bridge of my nose and cheekbones but you can add highlighter anywhere you want to add a bit of brightness to your face.

Highlighter in Glow (a soft shimmery gold) on the left and blush in Strawberry Parfait (a soft cool pink) on the right. Again all Lauren Brooke products.

  • I extenuate my eyebrows with a soft brown powder brow shadow and apply it with a brow brush.

This is Lauren Brooke Colourfusion Lip Glaze in Gragonfruit.

  • Last and not least I add a beautiful pop of bright pink to my lips and I am ready to go. For added definition I like to apply a pink lip liner first, here I am using Pink Blossom from Lauren Brooke!

And Voila this is the final look!

Now that you have your new spring look completed get out there an enjoy the beautiful weather all you lovlies!
