Test it Out Thursday - NŪDUS Lipsticks

I have been obsessed with these Lipsticks from NŪDUS… I think it's partly due to the fact that I have been searching for some amazing nude shades and because being in Canada it was a bit difficult to get my hands on them! Luckily I found an online Green Beauty store in the US that not only sells these lipsticks to us gals in Canada but they also sell samples…. YESSSS… You know I love my lipstick samples so I could resist purchasing a few from Integrity Botanicals.

The Nūdus line is dedicated solely to lipsticks! So you know these lipsticks have somewhat of a cult following!

Nūdus Lipsticks are handcrafted in Australia with beautiful certified organic ingredients that combine bioactive ancient ayurvedic colours and extracts made from flowers, fruits, herbs and minerals and organic cold pressed oils, including: pumpkin, kiwi fruit, raspberry, pomegranate, argan and moringa! This makes for a nutritious cocktail of moisture and beauty! The Nūdus pigment extracts not only provide longer lasting colour, but safer active moisturizing properties, based on the technology of an ancient progressively vibrant traditional medicinal system. Wow that is a mouthful! LOL

Since I was so excited about this brand I purchased 5 Samples from Integrity Botanicals (Halo, Amelia, Precious, Survivor and Viva:

Halo - Light Muted Rose. The name describes it perfectly. This pink is so perfectly pale and muted, I can only describe it as an angelic baby pink! Love!

Amalia - Delicate Pink (Sheer Wash of Colour). This is a super pretty and super wearable colour for everyday! I would say that is does have a slight peachy undertone to it!

Precious - Bright Coral Pink

Precious is not what I thought it would look like on. Its seems a bit more muted than I thought it would be, I thought it was going to be a bit more of a bubble gum pink. I do love it but it is just not what I had expected from pictures I have seen online!

Survivor - Electrifying Fushia Pink.

I Love this colour! Its so vibrant and so of course its my favourite out of the bunch, lol!

Viva - Soft Pinkish Purple

This colour is still in the pink range but leads more purple/berry on me.

The reason I was so intrigued about these lippies is because they are not only beautiful, obviously, but because they don't contain any of the nasty ingredients I try to avoid like: parabens, pesticides, fungicides, GMO, hydrogenated oils, petro-chemicals, and synthetic dyes synthetic fragrances or nano-particles! Eliminating these things from my cosmetic products is a priority for me!

Secondly, because of their use of the ingredient Ayurveda in their product. "Ayurveda means ‘ life-wisdom’ and is believed to be one the oldest healing systems originating from India over 5,000 years ago. Ayurveda revels the wisdom of life ‘ the whole of life’, by unveiling secrets of nature that helps keep a person healthy and in harmony with their soul." I definitely need some of this, lol!

These beautiful lipsticks are also not mass manufactured, like other lipsticks can be, instead they are handcrafted in small batches, without the use of big machines and have taken over two years to develop. These lipsticks are specially created with super foods, antioxidants, vitamins A, B, C, D, E and K, essential fatty acids and high-end anti-aging ingredients to keep your lips soft and help protect them from environmental stress. YES!!!

They are also incredibly pigmented, super long wearing and have a slight matte finish! I can't wait to try out a few new colours from the Nūdus lipstick collection! Do you have a favourite?
