VALENTINES DAYYYYYY... is just around the corner *kiss* *kiss*!
I think Valentines Day is such a special time of year! And I don't believe Valentines Day should be reserved only for your significant others! I believe its a time to celebrate with all the loved ones around you... I also think its important to try and not get too wrapped up in the consumerism side of the holiday either! Its more about showing the people around you they are appreciated and loved and your can't really do that with a box of chocolates! For me Valentines Day is a "reminder" of some of the things we should be doing on a regular basis for our loved ones instead of only one day a year!
And to mark this special day of L.O.V.E I of course couldn't pass up the opportunity to do a little Valentines Day make up tutorial!
This look is all about the soft romantic side of Valentines Day and so today I will be focusing on a "softer" smokey eye with a pink lip that definitely says Valentines!

Although I am not dressed for it this is a preview of my Valentines Day Look!
After I cleanse and moisturize my face the fun stuff begins!
I am actually forgoing primer for this look however you can always start off with a primer before your make up!
As always I start off with my Lauren Brooke Foundation in neutral 10 and concealer in light. As you have probably read several times this is my holy grail foundation. No matter what other foundations I try I always find my way back to this one! I usually apply my foundation and concealer with my fingers but I do alternate between my fingers and Lauren Brooke's Foundation Brush! You can click here for my Creme Foundation Review.
I dust a bit of Lauren Brooke's Silk Veil over my face and eyelids to set the foundation and concealer. This helps to set my makeup and make sure it will stay put the whole day!
Now comes the *STAR* of the show! My new "Sex Kitten" palette from 100% Pure! OMG I have been obsessed with this palette from the day I received it! The thing I love most about 100% Pure palette's is the fact that they have every thing you need to achieve your perfect look, lol... It has 3 eye shadows, one blush and one highlighter... and all of the colours are perfectly coordinated! It really takes the guess workout out of what colours to pair with each other!

From Left to Right: Sexy (baby pink shimmery highlight), Allure (pink-coral blush), Risque (light yellow shimmery shadow), Provocateur (pale purple eye shadow with a slight shimmer) and Cat Eyes (a darker purple with a slight shimmer)
First I apply Sexy (the highlighter colour) and Risque (the yellowish eye shadow) all over my eyelid with a big puffy eye shadow brush. This gives a nice glowy base and acts as a transition colour for the other eye shadows.
Then I apply Provocateur (light purple eye shadow) to the outer three quarters of my eyelid with a smaller eye shadow brush.
The third colour I apply is Cat Eyes (dark purple eye shadow) and I add this colour to the outer corners of my eyelids and along my lash line!.
Here is a picture of the colour swatches:

From Left to Right: Sexy (baby pink shimmery highlight), Allure (pink-coral blush), Risque (light yellow shimmery shadow), Provocateur (pale purple eye shadow with a slight shimmer) and Cat Eyes (a darker purple with a slight shimmer)
Next I apply Lily Lolo eyeliner pencil in black to both my upper and lower eyes. I usually use a liquid eyeliner but for today's tutorial I wanted to have a softer eye look and the pencil eyeliner can easily be blended out for a softer look!

Next comes mascara and I have really been loving my new Ultra Lengthening Black Tea Mascara from 100% Pure! It applies very easily and gives me some great length and definition.

This is my completed Sexy Valentines Day Eye Look! Just look at those lashes!

I then apply Allure, the blush that comes in the Sex Kitten Palette to the apples of my cheeks and along my cheekbones. This is such a pretty pink-peach colour that complements this eye look so well!
I then apply my highlighter, Sexy, from the 100% Pure Sex Kitten Palette along my cheekbones which gives me that beautiful candle lit glow! I also apply the highlight to my brow bone, cupids bow and the inner corners of my eyes.
I extenuate my eyebrows with the blond powder brow shadow and design wax From Lauren Brooke and apply it with a brow brush. Here is my review on that!

From Left to Right: Pink Blossom Lip Liner from Lauren Brooke, Ilia Lipstick in Pink Kashmir and Lip Conditioner in Blossom Lady!
And of course you know I love pink and what would Valentines Day be without a pink lippie! I have used two pink lipsticks for my Valentines Day look!

I love this pouty pink lip!
First I applied Pink Kashmir Lipstick a beautiful bright pink and then I softened up the look with Blossom Lady Lip Conditioner, both from ILIA Beauty! I also have lightly lined my lips with Lauren Brooke's Lip Liner in Pink Blossom... I find adding a lip liner really helps with the longevity of my lipstick..... Muah!
And this is my Romantic Valentines Day look all put together... Voila!
