Oh Winter... how I love you in-spite of the cold, snowy weather! I love the cozy winter nights with a mug of organic hot cocoa in hand. And of course I love the Holiday season which affords me some extra time to spend time with family and friends!

So for today's tutorial I am going to do a winter look, however, this can also double as a Holiday look tutorial as well! I am a bit late in posting this tutorial for the Holiday Season however I was waiting for a few new items to arrive before I was able to complete the look I was aiming for!

For me the Holidays inspire a Classic Glam look.... so I think a Smokey Eye and a Big Bold Red Lip are in order... so if you are interested in this look please keep reading xo

Although I am not dressed for it this is a preview of my Holiday look!

  • As always I start by cleansing and moisturizing my face and eye area to make sure my skin is perfectly prepped. During this time of year I need a bit more moisture so I have found a hydrating spray like Dr. Roebuck's Bondi Hydrating Mist helps my makeup apply much better and keeps me hydrated throughout the day.

  • After cleansing I prime my face with Vapour Beauty's Stratus Soft Focus primer in 902. I find this primer is really great for me in the winter. It provides an extra layer of moisture I seem to need during this season. But feel free to use any primer that works for you.

  • Then I use Lauren Brooke's Foundation in neutral 10 and concealer in light. I apply the foundation to my face and concealer under my eyes and on any blemishes or any areas that are a bit red. You don't need any special tools to apply this foundation but today I am using Lauren Brooke's Foundation Brush which was specially developed for her creme foundation. FYI... this is my absolute holy grail foundation especially for winter, its really hydrating and moisturizing and doesn't flake off my face like some other foundations can do this time of year! You can click here for my Creme Foundation Review.

  • I dust a bit of Lauren Brooke's Banana Corrective Finishing Powder over my face and eyelids to set the foundation and concealer. This helps to mattify the foundation but if you prefer a dewier makeup look you can forgo the finishing powder. Here is my review for Lauren Brooke's Banana Corrective Finishing powder!

  • Next is my favorite... eyes! I am using a new eye shadow palette for this look. Petal to the Medal from Lily Lolo! I have been looking forward to trying this out for sometime now so I thought the holiday look tutorial would be the perfect time to try it! Please refer to the numbers below to see the order that I applied each shadow!

  • Number 1: I apply Photo Finish all over my eyelids, its a creamy nude colour which is a perfect colour to use as a base for this look. Number 2: Then I use Hook Up, a light beige, as my transition colour over photo finish. Number 3: I mix Carbon which is a dark grey colour and Black Zinc which is almost black together and apply it to the outer corner of my eye and pull it slightly into the crease of my eye. Number 4: Is Gold Medal and I apply this shimmery gold with my finger to the center of my eye (using my finger seems to allow for a more intense application of colour). Number 5: I use Silver Bullet a silvery shade to the inner corner of my eye and blend it a bit with the Gold colour in the center. Use whatever brush works best for you!

  • Next I apply Lauren Brooke's Liquid Eyeliner in Black to my upper eyelids and her black pencil eyeliner to the waterline of my lower eyelids for some extra drama. Again use any eyeliner pencil you prefer, I like black for this look because it really intensifies the smokey eye affect!

This is my completed Holiday Eye Look!

  • I then apply FitGlow's mineral blush cheek colour in Rose (a beautiful peach/pink colour that has an illumining shimmer to it, so this product also doubles as a highlighter) to the apples of my cheeks and my cheekbones.

  • For an everyday look the FitGlow Blush is enough on its own because of the luminosity it creates but since this is my Holiday Look I like to add a bit more highlight to make sure I have that glowy look! I love Lauren Brooke's highlighter in "Glow" and I add a bit of that to my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose. Its a beautiful gold colour and accentuates this look perfectly!

This is Love by FitGlow its part of their new Creme Lipcolour collection!

  • And whats a Holiday tutorial without a red lip! No need to use a lip liner for this classic red lip (unless you want to)! For this look I am wearing FigGlow's Creme Lipcolour in Love and I do love this colour. Its the perfect cherry red for the holidays..... Muah!

And Voila this is the Holiday/Winter look all put together!

I have linked all the products I have use in this tutorial throughout my blog if you are interested in purchasing any of them.

If you would like to purchase some of the Lauren Brooke products used in this tutorial use my code SimplyTrulyJenny at the checkout or this link and you will receive a 10% discount on your entire purchase!

Are you ready to Sparkle and Shine this holiday season? Have a happy and safe Holiday season xoxo.
