Wellness Wednesday – Small Steps to Improve Your Wellness Today

Its important to take care of your wellness and from time to time we may need a little reminder to make our wellness a priority. Here are 9 things that that you can do to improve your wellness today!

Get rid of toxic things from your life… from people to food to thoughts to behaviors!
Be grateful. Appreciate what you have now!
Knock something off your to do list… No matter how small it may be. When you get going on some lost project it makes you motivated to complete other things!
Get up an hour early or go to bed an hour early. An extra hour of sleep will help you to recharge your battery and you will be better able to tackle your day!
Eat more nutritious foods. Eating garbage will make you feel like garbage! There is a reason they say you are what you eat!
Get out and enjoy nature. Taking a walk or hike outside definitely refreshes you and allows you to see the beautiful things around you that you are usually too busy to see!
Put away the technology… for at least a few hours every night. This gives you a chance to reconnect with your loved ones. After all technology may bring us closer to the people far away from us but brings us further away from the people who are closest to us!
Breathe – Take a moment to breathe everyday… mindful breathing will help you get in touch with yourself and outside of your negative thoughts!
Exercise – It doesn’t have to be strenuous exercise but make sure you move your body everyday. Trust me after you do it you will feel a whole lot better with those extra endorphins pumping through your body!
