There is no magic pill when it comes to stopping the anti-aging clock but if you take the steps to properly rest, replenish and recharge your body you might just be able to press the snooze button on anti-aging a little bit longer.
Here are 8 of the best Anti-Aging life tips to help pause the anti-aging clock.

1. Sleep – This should be a no brainer but so many people, myself included, do not get the recommended 7-8 hours of sleep a night. Those who lack sleep actually show the visible signs of aging sooner and its pretty immediate. I know how I look after a few days of sleep deprivation!! Also with a good night's sleep you are better able to deal with the day to day life stressors.

2. Smile and have a positive attitude – Studies show that by developing a positive attitude and compassionate outlook you can live up to 7 years longer!

3. Exercise – Exercise does a number of good things for your body and mind. Muscle training and weight bearing activities help to build bone mass and can keep you from breaking a bone or a hip in the later years of life. Not to mention serotonin is released during exercise which, as you know, is a feel good chemical and if you feel good you look good! Any kind of cardio activity increases your heart rate which increases blood flow to vital organs and helps to get oxygen pumping through your body. Yoga and stretching practices are some of the best ways to get the blood and oxygen pumping through your body.
4. Nutrition – Eating all the proper foods like berries, colourful veggies, whole grains, nuts, foods rich in omega-3s, tomatoes, leafy greens, olive oil/coconut oil and spices like turmeric and ginger will help you live longer and also help to reduce common health problems and disease and help slow down the aging process. Its also important to reduce processed foods, red meat, vegetable oils, fried foods and white carbs which can cause an acidic and inflammatory environment in the body, promote disease and speed up the aging process. There is a reason certain diets you find in Japan or the Mediterranean are literally kicking our butts when it comes to longevity, and seemingly ageless people!

5. Reduce Sugar and alcohol – Eating refined sugars like candy, soda pop and white carbs can increase inflammation of the body, can actually speed up the aging process and create an environment for chronic diseases to thrive.
6. Drink water – Just by drinking water and keeping your body hydrated helps to plump up the skin, reduce fine lines and helps you look years younger. Despite all the health benefits water is essential to every part of your body and their functions!
7. Get out an enjoy life – Having an active life with friends, family and in the community can give you a better outlook on life. Don't you notice those individuals who have a “zest” for life seem to live longer and look happier. And when you look happier you also look years younger!

8. Getting Jiggy with it – Yep, you heard me right increasing your activity between the sheets not only can make you look years younger but might actually help you live years longer too! Endorphins, similar to exercise, are released during love making with can reduce stress and relax you. It apparently can also help boost your immune system and reduce the risk of heart disease and blood pressure!
