Toss it Out Tuesday - Redness Corrector Cream

Since I am very pale, I tend to have very reactive skin and that usually results in quite a bit of redness on my face. So to counteract that I usually use a “green” concealing product under my foundation to help tone down the redness. Maybelline Cover Stick, Green Concealer was my go to to help me deal with this problem! However once again one of my beloved products turned out to have a very high rating on the Think Dirty App… A 10 in fact!

This product has 4 toxic ingredients that made me Toss it Out immediately… Butylparaben (which can be toxic to reproduction, a hormone disruptor and a carcinogen, with a possible link to breast cancer), Propylparaben (this chemical compound has been found in some cancerous breast tissues and therefore is a possible link to breast cancer). Methylparaben (a build up of this compound has also been found in cancerous breast tissues) and Talc (has a possible link to ovarian cancer). There are several carcinogenic toxins in this one…. so bye bye Maybelline... I won't be using your product any longer!

This Redness Rescue Cream is fantastic at covering the redness in my face. I actually like it better that the product I was using before because it has a much lighter cream/fluid texture that blends beautifully under foundation and a little goes a long way! I think over time its actually calming and reducing the redness in my face! I apply it after my serum and moisturizer but you could probably use it as a light moisturizer all on its own!
