Test It Out Thursday - Lauren Brooke - Silk Veil

Lauren Brooke’s Silk Veil is honestly a wonder product! It can be used as both a light coverage powder foundation or used to set your crème foundations! Any skin type can benefit from using this powder especially those with normal to oil skin types!

When I received this product I really hadn’t even known it was meant to be a “light” powder foundation so I used it to set my Lauren Brooke Crème foundation. I loved it as a setting powder. It has a very light silky feel, as the name suggests, and sets my foundation flawlessly.

However, almost by accident, and because I was pressed for time one day, I tried this Silk Veil as a foundation all on its own… WOW I was shocked at how well it worked as a foundation!!! I am not saying it’s a full coverage foundation but it does provide that light coverage I prefer on the weekend with my “no make-up look”… It even helped to camouflage some of the redness in my face! And it wasn’t until I actually went on the Lauren Brooke Website to read up on this product that I discovered it’s actually meant to be a light coverage foundation… hahah who knew!

The day I tried it as a “light” foundation changed my perception about powder foundations. With the exception of Lauren Brooke’s powder foundations, most of the other ones I have tried have been heavy, cakey and they all seem to accentuate my pores… That is definitely NOT the case with this revolutionary Silk Veil product.

As the name suggests it feels like silk on the skin and it stays put the whole day. Best of all this powder foundation is so light it doesn’t settle into fine lines whether you choose to wear it alone or under regular foundation. Since I am over 40 finding a powder that does not settle into fine lines is a major plus and a bit tricky to find in the market today! I can honestly say I am loving this product!

And as with all of Lauren Brooke’s Products she has infused this one with some amazing Key Ingredients:

• Silk – Helps to balance out moisture and contains amino acids and protein.

• Pearl – Helps to promotes healthy, lustrous skin.

Currently I use the colour Fair but I could probably transition to Light without a problem.
