Sunday Funday - Lauren Brooke's Eco-Friendly Bamboo Brushes

I recently had the chance to try out some of Lauren Brooke's Eco-Friendly Bamboo makeup brushes (more specifically the Foundation brush and the Kabouki brush) and it couldn't have come at a better time. My old brushes were looking pretty.... lets just say well used so it was a good time to Toss them Out and give some new brushes a try!

All of Lauren Brooke's Brushes are vegan friendly, no animal hair is used for the bristles, and they also have environmentally friendly bamboo handles! They are also affordable and the bristles are incredibly soft!

They feel very sturdy but light in your hand when you are using them, not flimsy like some of the other brushes I have tried. Also after several uses there was no fallout from the bristles, which happened all the time with my old brushes. I haven't had a chance to wash these brushes yet but I will update this blog to let you know how they retain their shape and if any fallout occurs after washing them.

Their brush collection includes:

Cheek Brush ($17.00) – This brush, surprise surprise, can be used to apply your blush and also helps to blend out any harsh lines from bronzers or highlighters.

Large Powder Brush ($18.00) – This brush is essential for applying any of Lauren Brooke's powders and it is also great for applying her powder foundation or pressed foundation if you are looking for lighter coverage.

Round Crease Eye Brush ($8.00) – This brush is great for applying your eye shadow especially in the crease area to help you achieve that smokey eye look.

Oval Eye/Concealer Brush ($8.00) – Of course this brush is essential when applying Lauren Brooke’s concealer insuring you get the best concealer coverage. It's smaller than the foundation brush which means you can really target those smaller areas like under the eye or for any blemishes you may have! It can also be used to apply a shadow base to your eyelids.

Lip Brush ($7.50) – This lip brush is fantastic for applying your lipstick and because of it’s tapered bristles you can use it like you would a “lip liner” to give extra definition to your lips!

Eye Liner Brush ($7.50) – This is not only great for applying eyeliner but you can also use it wet with your powder eye shadows and create your own eyeliner. It also works very well as an eyebrow brush to apply your eyebrow products! What a great little multitasking brush.

Foundation Brush ($12.00) – This brush is amazing to use when applying Lauren Brooke's crème foundation. The foundation glides on your face with ease in just a few strokes of the brush. First apply foundation to the center of your face with your fingers and then use the brush in sweeping motions up to your hairline to create a flawless finish. I don't normally use tools when I am applying my foundation but I have to say this actually provided better coverage then when I just use my fingers alone. I was worried my foundation might go on "streaky" but it 100% did not. It went on smooth and even. I definitely recommend this brush to help you achieve your flawless face and you can use it as a concealer brush as well!

Deluxe Kabouki Brush ($20.00) – This brush is missing the handle which makes it great for travelling, you can carry on the go. It's also great for applying your Lauren Brooke powders or powder foundations.

Fan Brush ($9.00) - The flat fan shape allows for even and soft definition, making it an ideal tool for gently applying bronzing powder or highlighter. This brush can also be used to brush away any fallout you might have from your eye shadow or other makeup.

Large Bamboo Kabouki Brush ($23.00) – I love this brush its just feels so luxurious to use. Again, like the other Kabouki brush above, you can use this brush to apply your Banana Correcting powder or your pressed or powder foundations. You can also use it to help blur any harsh lines from your blush, bronzer or highlighter! I found it works amazing with Lauren Brooke's pressed foundation giving the prefect coverage with minimal effort!
