Because I have chemically treated hair I need to use a leave-in condition to give my hair that extra moisture it seems to crave! In the past I have used and loved Tresemme Leave-in Conditioner but with ingredients like fragrance and DMDM Hydantion which is a formaldehyde releasing agent and a class 1 carcinogen to Humans, I have definitely decided to toss out this leave-in conditioner. And as you would expect it gets the worst rating on the Think Dirty App…. a 10!

So what the heck was I going to replace my favorite leave-in conditioner with?
I turned again to a Canadian company that has been around since 1972…. Carina Organics!
I purchased the Carina Organics Sweet Pea Leave-in Conditioner and it's a prefect compliment to the sweet pea shampoo and conditioner I already own from Carina! It leaves my hair tangle free and helps to restore my hair’s luster, softness, flexibility and shine! It comes in a spray pump which allows you to spray it directly on the hair but for some reason I like to spray it into my hands first and then apply it to my hair. The smell is amazing…. I love the subtle sweet pea scent!
This product along with all Carina products are:
Synthetic Free
Hypoallergenic
Cruelty Free
Vegan
100% Biodegradable (safe in rivers, lakes and oceans)
Paraben Free
Soy Free
Gluten Free
Dye Free

This specific product is not yet rated on the Think Dirty App but all of the other products they carry are between a 0 and 3 so I don’t think this one would be any different!
As you can see the ingredient list is very minimal as well!
Ingredients: Filtered Aqua, Cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, Pinus banksiana (pine) extract, Matricaria chamomilla (chamomile) flower extract, Urtica dioca (nettle) leaf extract, Taraxacum officinale (dandelion) leaf extract, Trifolium pratense (clover) flower extract, acetic acid (apple cider vinegar), Olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, Cucurbita pepo (pumpkin) seed oil, Lathyrus odoratus (sweet pea) flower extract.
You can order it directly from the Carina website and it comes in 3 sizes: $11.99 for 8 oz, 1 litre for $35.99 and 4 litres for $106.99 (wow that is a lot of conditioner lol)! Well.ca and Radiance Cosmetics also offer this product from their websites if you prefer to purchase it there!
So far Carina hasn’t let me down so I say toss out your old toxic leave-in conditioners and try out Carina! I think you will be happy you did!
