Test it Out Thursday - Lauren Brooke Etra Vous Subscription Box

I have been wanting to try a Organic Subscription Box for a long time now but I couldn't seem to commit to an unknown product line! So when one of my favorite natural make up lines announced they were going to be starting up a monthly subscription box I decided it was the perfect time to try one!

For $27.00 a month (Note: if you purchasing with Canadian funds the price will fluctuate due to the US to Canadian exchange rate) Lauren Brooke will send you a new subscription box of goodies each month! She also has a 3 month or 6 month subscription renewal option available as well!

I think the packaging is rather pretty!

Let’s get right down to the un-boxing shall we.

These are all the goodies that came in by box!

I received two full size powder eye shadows in Summer Wind and Mystic Tawna ($13.00 each), one deluxe sample powder eye shadow in Smokey Plum ($1.00 but this is a large sample so it's definitely more than one dollars’ worth), one full size body glitter in Beach ($13.00), one full size ColourFusion Lip Glaze in Peach Sunset ($13.00), one full size cream eye shadow in Wisteria ($13.00), an eye shadow wand (no price for this) and Hearts - flower blossoms (no price for this). Apparently the hearts have little seeds in them so you can plant them and flowers are supposed to bloom (I have yet to try this out, but its a very cool idea).

The total retail value for this box is at least $66 and that's without factoring in the few products I couldn’t find a price for… I paid $27.00 because the US to Canadian exchange rate was a bit higher at the time. So I saved at least $39.00. Wow I would say that is a pretty great savings!

Smokey Plum eye shadow is a deep matte purple and perfect for a Smokey eye look .

Mystic Tawna eye shadow is harder to describe... it’s like a pinky peach colour but with an iridescent purple hue when you look at it from a different angle.

Summer Wind eye shadow is a pale shimmery yellow, great for a shadow base and perfect for spring and summer.

Beach body glitter is perfect to highlight your brow bone or as a base colour for your eyelids. Its super sparkly and I love it, lol.

Cream eye shadow in Wisteria

Wisteria cream eye shadow is a beautiful shimmery lavender colour. I am not usually a fan of cream eye shadows because I find they crease pretty easily on me but this is such a great colour, I won't let that get in my way!

ColourFusion Lip Glaze in Peach Sunset

Peach Sunset is a perfect “peach” colour for summer, it has the consistency and shine of a lip gloss but much more staying power!

I have to say I am definitely enjoying my Etra Vous Box this month. I highly recommend this box for new customers to help them experience the Lauren Brooke brand. I spoke to a customer service rep and she advised that in the future they will be able to provide more “customizable” subscription boxes but at this time the products they send in their boxes are products that are universal for everyone! For example they might not include a foundation or a skin care product in their subscription box because not everyone would be able to use the same colour of foundation and not everyone would have the same skincare needs. However, they may be looking into this in the future!
