Test it Out Thursday - Dr. Roebuck's Skincare

If you know me you know I love when I can get my hands on sample packs or travel sizes of anything. Travel sizes are great when you are trying out a new product because you are truly able to get a sense of how your skin will react to the product without committing to a full size.

This is how I was drawn into Dr. Roebuck’s. Not only that but also because it’s a cleaner skincare line formulated without BPA, parabens and without harmful fillers and chemicals. And you can buy it right at your local Shopper’s Drug Mart!

Dr. Roebuck’s "pure" cream was develop by two physicians who were looking for a natural Eczema treatment for their twin daughters. These two daughters, Kim and Zoe, have now further expanded the brand!

All of Dr Roebuck’s products are formulated in Australia with a focus on maximum results while using natural and minimal ingredients!

Unfortunately these products have yet to be rated on the Think Dirty App but hopefully they will be soon!

The “Healthy Skin Pack” retails for $39 at Shoppers Drug Mart and contains 1 full size lip product and 3 travel size skincare products (20 mls each) which are described below.

FACE – This is Dr. Roebuck's bestselling anti-aging moisturizer. It is an active day and night cream used to re-hydrate the skin and reduce wrinkles. I use this cream as my day moisturizer but it can definitely be used as a night moisturizer! Zoe and Kim recommend warming it up between your fingers to release all the wonderful active ingredients in it. It also smells really nice, I think that might be due to the Macadamia Oil in it!

Face only has 11 ingredients, including 4 essential oils to soothe, combat fine lines and wrinkles, and promote the skin's natural reparative process.

Ingredients:

Purified Water, Glycerin, Macadamia Oil, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Sodium Polyacrylate, Glyceryl Caprylate, Cetearyl Glucoside & Cetearyl Alcohol, Natural Vitamin E, Sodium Benzoate, Rosehip Oil, Lavender Oil.

PURE – Is Dr. Roebuck's original rich ultra-hydrating hypoallergenic cream. This cream has been clinically tested for sensitive skin, it only has 6 ingredients and it calms, nourishes and repairs the skin! You can use it as a night moisturizer or apply a thick white layer to your face and use it as a hydrating mask! This cream is much thicker than Face and is extremely moisturizing. I use Pure as my night cream and it leaves my skin super soft in the morning! Zoe even advised me that Pure can be used around the eye area!

Ingredients: Purified Water (Aqua), Cetearyl Alcohol (and) Ceteareth-20, Glycerin, Paraffinum Liquidum, Stearic Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid (natural preservative), Benzyl Alcohol (natural preservative)

POLISH – Is a 2-in-1 facial scrub and mask. This facial scrub is non-abrasive yet deep cleansing. The Kaolin in Polish draws out impurities and toxins from the skin and clears it of excess dirt and pollution. The Jojoba beads, Grapefruit and Peppermint oils help to deeply cleanse and exfoliate. I love that this products uses Jojoba beads to exfoliate, its a very gentle yet effective exfoliator. I use it at least once a week but it is recommended use is up to 3 times a week.

Ingredients: Purified Water, Glycerin, Emulsifying Wax, Kaolin, Jojoba Beads, Macadamia Oil, Glyceryl Caprylate, natural vitamin E, White Tea Extract, Grapefruit Oil, Peppermint Oil.

LIPS – Is a Petroleum free lip balm. This is a great moisturizing lip balm that contains peppermint which adds a little warming effect when you apply it to your lips!

As you can tell the ingredient lists are very minimal!

I love this Healthy Skin Pack! It gives you all the skincare essentials you need and it's a great way to try out the line! And at $40... it’s a steal in my opinion. The Face and Pure moisturizers will last you for at least a month or two with daily use. Polish will last a few months depending on how frequently you use it and Lips will last you a long time because it is a full size product.

I have my eye on a few other products in this skincare line and I will get back to you with my reviews!

Oh and their customer service is fantastic! I have emailed Zoe several times and she always gets back to me very quickly, answers all my questions and offers up some very helpful tips as well!

Dr. Roebuck's skincare line definitely gets two thumbs up from me and a must try it out vote, lol.
