I am always looking for new skincare products to test out and see if they can improve my skin texture and tone! So I was super excited about trying Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel for myself! It seemed to be getting great reviews online so I thought it might be a good addition to my skincare regime!

This product is great because it is formulated without parabens, petroleum products, butylene/propylene glycol, SLS (sodium lauryl sulfates). There are also no pesticides, phthalates, or artificial fragrance and/or dyes! And all Juice beauty products are cruelty free.
So the big claim of this product is that it exfoliates the skin to help improve the skin texture and tone, minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and also reduces the appearance of dark spots.
The ingredient list looks pretty good as well… have a look:
Organic juices of pyrus malus (organic apple juice), citrus medica limonum (organic lemon juice), aloe barbadensis (organic aloe juice), glycolic acid, vegetable glycerin, hydroxypropyl starch phosphate, sodium hydroxide, caprylhydroxamic acid, xanthan gum, caprylyl glycol, vitis vinifera (grape seed extract), tocopherol (Vitamin E), retinyl palmitate (Vitamin A), ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), tetrasodium glutamate diacetate, magnesium aspartate, zinc gluconate, copper gluconate, citric acid.
The main ingredients: organic apple juice, malic acid, organic grape juice, resveratrol, organic lemon juice and organic aloe leaf juice work together to exfoliate with alpha-hydroxy acids, to help promote beautiful skin with antioxidants and vitamins and helps to improve hydration and soothing properties with the glycoproteins.
Even though this peel is labelled “sensitive” it is not designed for sensitive skin or those with rosacea (because of the alpha/beta hydroxy fruit acids in it)… which is a bit misleading because of the “sensitive” label, however, it is recommended for all other skin types.
I have to admit it, this peel is too harsh for my skin… it definitely more than "tingled" on my face (which apparently is completely normal) and I could barely keep it on for 5 minutes let alone the recommended 10. It also left my skin noticeably red after I washed it off!
I did try this peel about 5 times giving it the old college try… but I had the same result each time! I do have red/pinky undertones to my skin but I wouldn’t describe my skin as sensitive and I don’t have rosacea, but it’s definately not suited for me. And I know it is a “peel” so I am sure the product was doing exactly what it is meant to do but for now I will stick to a less aggressive facial treatment option! I might try keeping in my skincare routine once a month for a deeper exfoliation but not as a weekly exfoliator!
However, if you love peels, I would recommend you give it a try because its rated a Zero on the Think Dirty App.

I purchased mine at Sephora. It came as part of a travel kit, which I completely recommend purchasing if you are on the fence about whether or not this skin care line is for you! You can purchase the kit here! If you want to learn more about Juice Beauty you can check out their website here!
Apparently if you make a purchase through the Juice Beauty website they send you free samples with your order.
Let me know your experience with this product! Happy peeling!
